Somolu Local Government Takes Decisive Action Against Waste Menace

In a resolute move to combat environmental challenges, the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu 'Dullar', has voiced unwavering confidence in the success of the THEAM Environment. This initiative focuses on tackling the pervasive issue of indiscriminate waste dumping within agunbaide. The recent intervention of the Lagos Waste Management Authority LAWMA, which actively addressed the persistent problem of waste accumulation.



With a hands-on approach, 'Dullar' has demonstrated his dedication to creating a cleaner and healthier environment for Somolu residents. The success has significant milestone in curbing the environmental challenges posed by improper waste disposal. As everyone rallies behind this decisive action, it becomes evident that the Chairman's vision for a cleaner Somolu is not only credible but actively shaping positive change.

In the face of challenges, such as the ongoing drainage repairs and desilting activities by the Swamp Buggy currently  at Abiodun)Osho Canal, we remain resolute in steering Somolu/Bariga towards a cleaner and more sustainable future. This proactive measure not only addresses the waste menace but also underscores the local government's commitment to overall environmental improvement.

The Executive Chairman Hon. Abdulhameed Salawu, commend the effort and steadfastness displayed by  the PSP operarors in some areas in Somolu and show displeasure to those operators who did not show up in their various ward as at when due.

PSP operators are in Somolu to serve you and in return, to make the environment a safe, clean and enjoyable home for us all. Our day to day evacuation activities in different wards with the services provided are  indisputable from Richbol Environmental, Sanrence Kleen Ventures, Nikeron Enterprises LTD and Proficient Waste Services, 

To the residents of Ward C ijebu tedo, D orile Somolu and E Alade Alase, we want to use this medium to appreciate and continue the corporation with proficient waste service as they have take this job as their own which leads so service gap of some Streets.

Service to human is to work for the common good to achieve the greatest creed as some residents have make service of the PSP operators a hell by not making payment as at when due which affect the the system as a whole.

A resident was apprehend at  Anifowose street with the effort of the supervisor, who engaging in dumping of waste at the cannel 

We encourage on time payment which will sustain the employment of PSP operator's staffs, The Executive Chairman Hon. Abdul hameed Salawu , therefore, enjoins residents to pay their bills brought by the  waste collection ”, he added.
