In keeping with the Sustainable Development Goal 3 theme 'Good Health Well-Being' and commemorating this year's Toyin Aluko Health Forum.
The Junior Chamber International Nigeria, Yaba College of Technology, as young active citizens who valued the essence of healthy living, organized three (3) days health projects to mark the 7th edition of the impactful annual programme.
The Day One (1) Project as conducted through Webinar and WhatsApp Platforms was tagged with two different topics.
The 'Problems, Solution and Importance of Oral & Dental Hygiene', while the other part was the 'Hormonal Imbalance's meaning, symptoms, cure and how it affects reproduction of both genders', where proficient medical doctors were called upon to do justice to the topics.
The enlightenment programme received a great turnout of over 500 participants who commended the organizer's mode of conduct and gave satisfactory feedbacks afterwards.
The dilliigent team embarked on 'Distribution of Face-Masks to SS3 Students in Somolu Senior High School, Yabatech Secondary School and Staffs, Managements, Securities, Cleaners of Yaba College of Technology' to mark day two (2) of their essential projects.
According to the President, Jackson Adewale Ayika and the Chairperson of the forum, Olamide Olajuyin, the purpose of the kind gesture was to induce valuable opportunities, familiarize and create a smooth path for the students with Leadership and Enterprenship Organizations in preparation of their journey to tertiary institutions.
The day three (3) project, as executed at the chapter's organization secretariat in Lagos, in partnership with Trauma Care International Foundation was indeed a top-drawer programme, where over thirty (30) young persons were trained on 'Life Save Emergency Response on First Aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)'.
With the level of exposure and the knowledge attained from the priceless life saving skills, there is a high chance of all the attendees being recruited as a life saver agents by health agency, with necessary equipments to propel outstandingly in their individual communities.
In conclusion of the beneficial projects, the assiduous team cap it off with unfeigned appreciation to the distinguished Chief Executive Officer of Toyin Aluko & Co. Estate Surveyors and Valuers, in person of JCI Senator Toyin Aluko for the sterling backings.
The appreciation was further extended to the 2006 JCIN Yabatech President, Adeleye Olugbenga, 2011 JCIN Yabatech President, Kiesena Theresa and 2017 GLC Kafidipe Sheriff.
Among other notable personalities were the Staff Adviser, ARC. Sherrifdeen Ayodele Oja, the distinguished JCI Senator Omole, 2007 President Oluwatosin Ligali, 2012 President Oluwole Cole, 2014 President Asubiaro Wahab, 2018 President Fakayode Folashade, JCI Nigeria Executive Secretary Mr Adeyemo Adeonipekun, 2017 EVP1 Ajiboye Opeyemi, P.A to the 2019 President, Adeiye Oluwatoyosi, Trauma Care International Foundation, Project Committee, Executives, Board Members of their Local Organisation whose timely efforts can't be neglected towards the successful completion of the projects, despite the distress of date rescheduling as a result of the incessant Covid-19 pandemic.
