GOMBE COVID-19 PATIENT AMONG STUDENTS WRITING SSCE

A final year student of the Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS) Gombe, who has tested positive for Covid-19, on Monday, sat for mathematics as WASSCE begins across the country.

The Gombe State Public Health Emergency Operations Centre (PHEOC) released a photo of the student together with his invigilator inside an isolated centre.

“Health and education are a priority in Gombe State.

A final year student of GSSS Gombe tested POSITIVE for COVID-19 and was isolated yesterday, today he is writing Mathematics SSCE while ensuring his invigilator is well protected,” the PHEOC tweeted. Dateline Nigeria reports that but for the school closure over COVID-19, the students would have since finished the exams which usually held in May/June annually. DateLine
